I got this to try out and see how it would work to put together a night stand that I tore apart to refurbish. I did an adequate job. The jig is a bit tedious to set up and use for transferring your center marks and the slop in the drill holes is enough that you aren't going to get very tight tolerances. There are other jigs on the market that are self centering with tighter tolerances but cost a little more. If you only need to so dowels occasionally or need for a single repair project, this kit will work fine as it comes with three different size bits and dowels along with the stops for the bits. However, there are no instructions included with the kit so you will need to watch some videos to figure out how to use it if you've never used a dowel jig before.
